Poland, Bydgoszcz – Utility Medium/High Voltage, Distribution and Power Generation

TELE-FONIKKA’s Bydgoszcz operation was established 1923 and specializes in the production of low, medium and high-voltage power cables for underground and aerial applications. This facility is the only operation that produces high-voltage cables in Poland and is one of the largest producers of medium and high-voltage cables in Europe. In 1995 the company increased its production capability of cables up to 400kV with a conductor cross-section up to 2000 mm2. Currently the Bydgoszcz operation is equipped with six XLPE lines and a state-of-the-art research and testing laboratory including a Faraday Cage for testing high-voltage insulation of power apparatus and fixtures up to 420kV. In 2003 an entirely new medium and high voltage department was commissioned which included insulation, shielding and jacketing lines.
